Creating a Backup

The Flow Designer automatically creates backups by default. You can also manually create a backup.

Manually Creating Backups

To create a backup of the file that's open in the workspace, you can click the backup button in the edit toolbar. Or, in the tree pane, right-click a project project icon or function collection, then click Backup. Optionally, enter a description.

Automatically Creating Backups

If automatic backups are enabled, you're prompted to create a backup when you close a file if you've made any changes.

Note

The Flow Designer closes all open projects when you disconnect from the server. You'll see the Save Backup dialog box if you changed any files since the last backup.

Accessing Backup Files

The Flow Designer saves backup files to the "server-name_username" subfolder under the [USER_DIR]\backup folder. The backup files have the name "project-file-name.version."
