Arranging Panes and Tabs
You can float panes in a separate window from the Flow Designer. Or, dock a pane:
- To an edge of the workspace
- To an edge of another pane
- To a tab
See below for procedures:
Floating a Pane
To float a pane that's docked, do one of the following from the title bar. To show the title bar, you can right-click inside the pane or tab.
- Click and drag the pane from the title bar so that the boundary outline floats, instead of docking to a frame's edge.
- Double-click the title bar.
- In the title bar, click the Toggle Floating button.
Alternatively, to float a pane that's docked in a tab, you can do one of the following:
- Double-click the tab.
- Click and drag the tab to where you want to position the pane.
- Right-click the tab and select Floating.
To move a pane without snapping it into place, press and hold the Ctrl key while you drag the pane.
To disable docking, right-click the pane's title bar or tab and turn off the Dockable option.
Docking a Pane
To dock a pane that's floating, see the following sections.
Dragging a Pane to a Docking Position
You can click and drag the pane from the title bar to a position you select:
- Snap the pane's boundary outline to the edge of a pane or to the edge of the workspace.
- Drag the pane's boundary outline over another pane to add a tab to the frame.
Returning a Pane to the Last Docking Position
Do one of the following:
- In the pane's title bar, click the Toggle Floating button.
- Right-click the pane's title bar or tab and turn off the Floating option.
Arranging Tabs and Docking in Tabs
To rearrange the tab order, drag the tabs to a new position. You can dock panes in tabs by dragging the pane over another pane.
