Updating to a Revision
Use Update to Revision to replace your working copy with a revision you specify. When you're not editing a file, Update to Revision replaces the path you select with a specific revision. You can also specify additional update options that the Update to Head command doesn't expose.
Note
You'll get an "out of date" error if you try to lock a file for editing and if there's a newer version.

To Update to a Revision
In the tree pane or file pane, you can select files and folders and then do one of the following:
- Right-click a selection and then click Version Control > Update to Revision. Specify the revision in the dialog box.
- Open the Show History dialog box, select a revision in the list, and click Update to Revision.
Note
Updating a folder updates all files and subfolders under the selected folder.
Specifying Update Options
You can select the following options in the Update to Revision dialog box:
- Only Update Top Folder: Ignore any subfolders in the update.
- Omit Externals: Ignore any external repositories in the update.
